Revenue seize herbal cannabis worth €610,000 in Dublin
Today (29/04/2024), as part of intelligence-led operations involving Revenue’s Customs Service, the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB), DMR North Central Divisional Drugs Unit and the K District Drugs Unit, Revenue officers seized two separate consignments, with a combined weight of approximately 30.5 kgs of herbal cannabis, and with an estimated value of €610,000 in Dublin.
One man in his 30s was arrested by An Garda Síochaná following the seizure of 27 kgs of herbal cannabis and is currently being detained at a Garda station in Dublin under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.
In a second operation, two men (one, a juvenile and the other in his 20s) were arrested by An Garda Síochaná following the seizure of 3.5 kgs of herbal cannabis and are currently being detained at a Dublin Garda station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.
Investigations are ongoing.
